Managing Roles

Certain role groups should be set up and assigned to users. The most common roles are USER and ADMIN

To Maintain roles - Select the main menu item JETSPEED ADMINISTRATIVE PORTLETS and pull down to SECURITY ADMINISTRATION than to ROLE MANAGEMENT.


Adding Roles

After selecting Role Management, the Role Management Portlets are displayed. Enter in a new Role Name and click the SAVE button.


Editing Roles

Select the Role and the EDIT Role portlet is displayed.


Modify users assigned to that role by clicking the Add Users to Role or Remove Checked Users buttons. Remove Roles or Add New Roles by clicking the appropriate buttons.
