Introduction
MARVELit DASH‚Ñ¢ is a open source Business Intelligence solution based on the Apache Jetspeed 1 Enterprise Portal and the popular JasperReports reporting application. Unlike other business intelligence solutions available, DASH strives to simplify the process of creating and maintaining a web based business intelligence dashboard and centralized reporting for all users.
Portal Features:
- Fully configured JSR-168 compliant portal based on Apache JetSpeed 2
- Template-based layouts including JSP and Velocity
- Custom default home page configuration
- Database user authentication
- Wireless Markup Language (WML) support
- XML based configuration registry of portlets
- Skins so that users can choose colors and display attributes
- Customizer for selecting portlets and defining layouts for individual pages
- User, group, role and permission administration via Jetspeed security portlets.
- Role-based security access to portlets.
Charting Features:
- Charts are easily configured via the portlet interface.
- Multiple datasources can be queried via any JDBC compliant data source.
- Users can easily add any chart published to them via the portal's built in customization features.
- Users can modify chart query parameters quickly via levers with pre-configured parameters.
- User and group based security is easily configured via query based parameters.
A variety of JFreeCharts are available to the user including:
- Regular and 3D Ring Charts
- Regular and 3D Pie Charts
- Regular and 3D Bar Charts
- XY Line, Step and Area Charts
- Waterfall, Polar, Scatter and Time Series Charts
